About the role
The Retail Key Holder position is an integral part of the Kitson LA team. Key Holders are responsible for delivering and sometimes leading the outstanding customer experience, building the Kitson LA brand and culture one customer at a time, and, ultimately, driving the business through sales and clienteling. The added responsibility of being a Key Holder will involve the store open/closing responsibilities, which requires a high degree of maturity and integrity. The ideal candidate should be authentic, and have a genuine curiosity and interest in people.
Key Holders are passionate about customer service and knowledgeable on the latest trends and designers, as well as up to date on product knowledge and key benefits. Key Holders must be brand ambassadors with a passion for going above and beyond to enhance the client experience. They are responsible for reaching and maintaining their personal sales goals while contributing to the overall success of the store and company culture. Key Holders are also responsible for courteous and professional interactions with all existing and potential customers.
Retail Key Holder Job Responsibilities

- Assist with the maintenance of all brand and operating standards to promote consistency
- Perform store opening and closing procedures including, but not limited to, counting register funds, completing bank deposits, opening and closing the registers, and securing the physical store location
- Ensure all sales and operational policies and procedures are maintained
- Accurately process all POS transactions and capture customer information
- Assist, when necessary, with operational and back of house activities
- Adhere to all policies and procedures with a focus on loss prevention and operational excellence
- Meet or exceed monthly sales and KPI goals
- Act as personal shopper within the store
- Establish and maintain a client book
- Assist with merchandising directives
- Remove unwanted merchandise from fitting rooms
- Communicate with upper management on operational or human resource issues as they arise

Experience Preferred
- 1-3 years retail management
- 2+ years retail sales
Minimum Educational Level
- High School Graduate or equivalent
Requirements of the Job
- Operate point of sale software
- Lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Work in a fast paced environment
- Bend and stretch to stock shelves
- Available to work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays, as determined by management based on the needs of the business
- Consistent and reliable attendance
