Minnie Rose founder Lisa Shaller-Goldberg found it curious to hear that Melissa Meyers, the voice behind the lifestyle blog The Glow Girl, called a hummingbird she saw in her garden one day “mom.” Through conversation, Lisa and Melissa realized they both found solace in knowing their late mothers were always with them, fluttering nearby in the form of hummingbirds. To their surprise, both mothers had succumbed to a battle of pancreatic cancer.
Their shared belief in the hummingbird symbolism and love for their mothers brought them together unexpectedly. In many cultures, not only are hummingbirds considered a sign that the spirit of a loved one who has passed may be near, but they embody a myriad of positive qualities and serve as potent symbols of inspiration.
This collaboration celebrates eternal love and the beauty of how interconnected we all truly are.
